It was used medicinally by the Egyptians and has a tradition of easing internal bleeding. It is now known to be a good vaso-constrictor.

Supports the body in its fight against water retention associated with pregnancy and menstrual cramps associated with pre-menstrual syndrome. Imported from Spain, Cypress acts as an astringent while easing muscle spasms.
